| Please read these Subscription Terms carefully before starting a trial or completing a purchase. These terms explain how your shedio subscription works, including how it auto-renews, how you cancel, and how refunds are handled. Please take a screenshot of this page for your records — this may help you manage your subscription. These Subscription Terms are part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions of Use, Money-Back Policy, and Privacy Policy. If there is any inconsistency between these Subscription Terms and the Terms and Conditions of Use, the Terms and Conditions of Use will prevail. |
|---|
| Non-use does not entitle you to a refund. Whether you choose to actually use the Service after Purchase (or after a Trial begins) is at your discretion. Non-use, infrequent use, or a change of mind does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund, except where required by applicable law or expressly provided in our Money-Back Policy. See Section 5. |
|---|
Your subscription — at a glance
| What you buy | A recurring subscription to the shedio App and related services, at the price and interval shown at checkout. |
|---|---|
| Does it auto-renew? | Yes. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription. |
| When is the first charge? | If you start a trial, the first full charge happens at the end of the trial. Otherwise, the first charge happens when you complete checkout. |
| Will I be reminded before renewal? | Where required by applicable law, yes — by email, with the renewal date, amount, and a link to cancel. See Section 6. |
| How do I cancel? | Online, at any time. If you subscribed on our website, cancel in the shedio web app (https://shedio.app → Profile → Subscriptions). App Store customers cancel in their App Store account settings. See Section 4. |
| Can I get a refund? | It depends where you purchased and your country. See Section 5 and our Money-Back Policy. |
1. Free or Paid Trial
We may offer a free trial, or a paid trial for a small one-time fee, as a way for you to try the Service before committing to a full subscription. Trials are offered at our discretion and may not be available at all times, in all countries, or to all users. If a trial is offered to you, the following will be clearly disclosed on the price screen and/or on the payment pop-up provided by Apple or Google, or our website, before you confirm the purchase:
- The length of the trial (for example, 7 days).
- Any trial fee (for example, $1 for a 7-day paid trial).
- The price you will be charged at the end of the trial if you do not cancel.
- The subscription length that will begin at the end of the trial (weekly, monthly, 3-month, 6-month, annual, or otherwise).
- The payment method that will be charged.
- How to cancel before the trial ends (see Section 4). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your trial will automatically convert into a paid subscription and you will be charged the price and interval shown at checkout. If no trial is indicated on the price screen before checkout, you will be purchasing a subscription without a trial — meaning your first charge will occur at checkout, not at a later date. We reserve the right to modify or terminate any trial offer, and to limit the number of trials per person, household, device, or payment method, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
| Introductory offers and promotional pricing. We sometimes offer introductory, seasonal, or promotional pricing on your first subscription period. Any such discounted price applies only to the initial period (as stated at checkout) and auto-renewal after that period will occur at the then-current non-promotional price. Any trial period and any introductory period are part of the subscription period for purposes of the 14-day EEA/UK withdrawal right and similar statutory cooling-off periods (see Section 5.4) — these periods are counted from the date of the contract, not from the date the trial or intro offer ends. No future-feature commitments. Your purchase is not contingent on the delivery of any future features or functionality, or on any public statement we have made about future features. You are subscribing to the Service as it exists today. |
|---|
2. Subscription and Auto-Renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each week, month, 3 months, 6 months, year, or other period, depending on what you selected at checkout) until you cancel. The auto-renewal period will be the same as your initial paid subscription period, unless we tell you otherwise at checkout. The renewal price will be no more than the price of the immediately prior subscription period, excluding any promotional or introductory discount, unless we notify you of a price change before the renewal (see Section 7).
| Important: Deleting the App, deleting your account, uninstalling the App, switching phones, or signing out does not cancel your subscription. To stop recurring charges, you must actively cancel the auto-renewal through the channel where you originally subscribed (see Section 4). |
|---|
3. Payment Method
The payment method you selected at checkout will be charged at the point of purchase (or, if you started a trial, at the end of the trial) and will be charged automatically at the start of each renewal period. Depending on where you subscribe, your payment may be processed by Apple or Google if you subscribed within the App; or, if you subscribed on our website, either by us using an authorized third-party payment processor acting on our behalf (currently Stripe and Braintree), or by our authorized merchant of record (currently Paddle). Where your payment is processed by the merchant of record, that merchant is the seller of record for that transaction and is your counterparty for it: it handles invoicing, collects and remits any applicable taxes, and handles refunds and payment disputes. We will tell you clearly at checkout, before you are bound, who the seller for your purchase is and how to contact them. If you reinstall the App, sign in on a new device, or switch devices, you can restore an active subscription by tapping “Restore Purchases” in the App (Profile → Manage Subscription → Restore Purchases), or by signing in with the same App Store account used for the original purchase. Restoring a purchase does not create an additional charge. You authorize us, our payment processors, our merchants of record, and the applicable App Stores to charge the subscription fees and any applicable taxes to the payment method you provided. If your payment method fails (for example, an expired card), we may retry the charge, notify you, and suspend or terminate your access if the charge cannot be completed.
| A note on payment validation. Our payment processors may apply a small temporary validation (pre-authorization) charge to verify the validity of your payment method. Any such validation charge is not a subscription fee and will be reversed automatically. If you see a small transient charge or an authorization hold on your statement immediately after checkout, please allow a few business days for your bank to clear it before contacting us. |
|---|
4. How to Cancel
| Cancellation is designed to be at least as simple as your original purchase. If you subscribed online, you can cancel online — no phone call, no email to support required. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your trial or current subscription period. |
|---|
Your cancellation path depends on where you originally purchased or started your trial. Please follow the instructions that match your purchase channel.
4.1. If you subscribed on our website
You can cancel online, at any time, in the shedio web app: go to https://shedio.app, sign in, open Profile → Subscriptions, and tap “Turn off auto-renewal.” Cancelling online in the shedio web app is at least as easy as subscribing, and we will not require you to call, mail, or contact a live agent in order to cancel.
Canceling your subscription disables automatic renewal. You will continue to have access to all subscription features for the remainder of your then-current paid period.
4.2. If you subscribed on the Apple App Store
You can cancel at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Only you can manage subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store — we cannot cancel them for you.
- On iPhone or iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → shedio → Cancel Subscription.
- See: https://support.apple.com/HT202039 To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your trial or current subscription period.
4.3. If you subscribed on Google Play
You can cancel at any time through your Google Play subscription settings.
- On Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → shedio → Cancel subscription.
- See: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481 To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the end of your trial or current subscription period.
4.4. What happens after you cancel
- You keep access to all paid features for the remainder of your then-current paid period.
- No new charges will be made on your payment method after cancellation, unless you restart your subscription.
- Your data stays with you for the duration of your account. You can delete your account at any time — see our Privacy Policy.
- Resubscribing is always possible — your progress and preferences will be available if your account still exists. We will not retain you against your will. During cancellation we may offer you alternatives such as pausing your subscription, switching to a cheaper plan, or a retention offer, and we may ask you (optionally) why you are cancelling. We will not use manipulative or deceptive design practices to obstruct or discourage cancellation, and you can always complete your cancellation.
5. Refunds
Whether and how you can receive a refund depends on where you originally purchased your subscription and where you live. Please also see our Money-Back Policy for full details, including our discretionary money-back guarantee. Reminder: Non-use of the Service does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund. Whether or not you actually use the Service after Purchase or Trial activation is at your discretion, and we do not refund subscriptions on the basis of non-use alone, except where required by applicable law (see Section 5.4) or where you qualify under our Money-Back Policy.
5.1. If you purchased on the Apple App Store
Refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store are handled directly by Apple. We cannot grant or deny refunds for these purchases. To request a refund, follow Apple’s instructions at https://support.apple.com/HT204084.
5.2. If you purchased on Google Play or another App Store
For purchases made on Google Play, please refer to Google Play’s refund policy. In some cases, you may also contact us at support@shedio.life for assistance.
5.3. If you purchased on our website
Refund requests for subscriptions purchased on our website should be sent to support@shedio.life and will be handled in accordance with our Money-Back Policy, applicable law, and the provisions below. Processing time If a refund is approved, we will issue it within any timeframe required by applicable law and otherwise without undue delay. The time it then takes to appear in your account depends on your bank or card issuer. One refund per transaction You may only receive one refund per transaction. Please do not request a refund from us and, at the same time, file a chargeback with your bank — this may delay or reverse the refund. If you receive duplicate refunds for the same transaction, we may work with your payment provider to recover the duplicate amount. Please contact us before disputing a charge If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@shedio.life. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account. If we reasonably believe a chargeback is false, dishonest, or made in bad faith, we may permanently ban you from the Service and seek recovery of amounts owed, including chargeback fees, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in this paragraph limits any non-waivable statutory right you have to dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer.
5.4. Refund and withdrawal rights by jurisdiction
You may have additional refund or withdrawal rights under the laws of your country, state, or province. These rights are not affected by these Subscription Terms:
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom — statutory 14-day withdrawal right. You may withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. Because a subscription is a service supplied over time, you keep that right during the 14-day period: if you exercise it, we refund what you paid less an amount proportionate to the Service actually supplied before you told us. (You only lose the right where you bought a single item of digital content that we supplied immediately, and expressly consented to that.) Switzerland: Swiss law does not give a statutory online withdrawal right; we grant Swiss consumers the same 14-day right as a contractual commitment. See our Money-Back Policy, Section 4.1.
- California and Connecticut — a voluntary three-business-day cooling-off period. As a matter of our own policy, and not because any statute requires it, we refund a direct-from-us purchase if you cancel before midnight on the third business day after buying. See our Money-Back Policy, Section 4.2.
6. Renewal Reminders
| Our commitment: We want you to stay in control of your subscription. Where applicable law requires a renewal reminder or a pre-charge notification (for example, for automatically renewing subscriptions of a specified length, or before a Trial converts into a paid subscription), we will send that reminder to the email address associated with your account within the timeframe required by that law. |
|---|
Each renewal reminder will include:
- The renewal date.
- The renewal amount, including any applicable tax.
- A link to cancel, without being routed to a live agent.
- Our support contact details in case you need help.
You are responsible for keeping your email address on file current and for checking your spam or promotions folder. If you subscribed on an App Store, Apple and Google may also send their own renewal notifications; our reminders are provided in addition where permitted.
7. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices from time to time. Where required by applicable law (including the California Automatic Renewal Law, the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the UK Consumer Rights Act, and Quebec Consumer Law), we will notify you in advance by email to the address associated with your account or by another prominent means. The notice will include the new price, the effective date, and instructions for how to cancel before the new price takes effect. In jurisdictions where applicable law requires your affirmative consent for a price increase to take effect, we will not apply the new price to your existing subscription without your express agreement. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your subscription at any time before the new price becomes effective, in accordance with Section 4.
8. Add-Ons and Additional Services
From time to time, we may offer optional add-ons in addition to your main subscription, such as advanced AI coaching tiers or premium content packs (“Add-Ons”). Add-Ons may be one-time purchases or recurring charges.
- Separate billing: Each recurring Add-On is billed separately from your main subscription.
- Separate cancellation: Canceling your main subscription does not automatically cancel any recurring Add-On, and canceling an Add-On does not affect your main subscription. The cancellation path for each Add-On will be clearly disclosed at the point of purchase and in your account.
- Same consumer rights: Jurisdictional refund and withdrawal rights described in Section 5.4 apply equally to Add-Ons where applicable by law.
9. Changes to These Subscription Terms
We may update these Subscription Terms from time to time. If the changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you before they take effect by email or another prominent means, at least 14 days in advance (or longer if required by applicable law). Non-material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. If you do not agree to an update, you can cancel your subscription before the effective date in accordance with Section 4. By continuing to use the Service after the update takes effect, you agree to the updated Subscription Terms.
10. Contact
If you have any questions about your subscription, payments, or cancellations, please contact us at support@shedio.life. For legal inquiries, contact support@shedio.life. For privacy inquiries, contact support@shedio.life.
| Any translation of these Subscription Terms from the English version is provided for your convenience only. In the event of any difference in meaning, version, or interpretation between the English version available at https://shedio.life/subscription-terms and any translation, the English version will prevail.
